CHATSWORTH COUNTRY FAIR 2014

Friday 29 August, Saturday 30 August & Sunday 31 August

Showground Events

Take the time to explore! Things are happening all over the showground.

DOG AGILITY

A huge favourite - great fun to watch and probably as much fun to compete in, both for dog and handler! All timed to 100/th of a second as the dogs negotiate a seemingly impossible series of obstacles.

HOT AIR BALLOONS

Chatsworth Country Fair is one of the largest balloon events (after Bristol) in the UK. Weather depending there is a spectacular balloon lift early in the morning and again at dusk and, with luck, a couple will be inflated in the Grand Ring at the end of each day as an opportunity to get close to the action.

PONY RIDES

Back by popular demand! A chance to sample and enjoy the delights of riding under the experienced and watchful eye of experienced handlers on some well behaved ponies from the Brimington Equestrian Centre.

Three girls competing in the Highland dancing competitions
HIGHLAND DANCING

A chance to see one of the oldest and probably most difficult of the national dances. Saturday competition followed by demonstrations on the Sunday. Includes the Highland Fling, The Sword Dance, Sailors Hornpipe and Highland Laddie.

DOG AND GUN COMPETITION, GUNDOG PICK-UP AND GUNDOG SCURRY.

Chatsworth Country Fair will play host to dozens of working dogs showing off their skills and those of their handlers in a range of disciplines. Entertaining to watch and to compete.
