Situated: Riverside Grandstand north west of Queen Mary's Bower

The Gundog Open Working Test is held on the Friday of Chatsworth Country Fair and was instigated when the fair became a 3 day event in 2007. It is open to individual handlers and limited to 24 dogs and held under Kennel Club rules. There is an entry requirement that although it is open to all, preference in the draw is given to dogs which have gained a place or Certificate of Merit at a Field Trial, been placed First, Second or Third in an Open Gundog Working Test or won a Novice GWT.

The entry fee is £10 per dog and each entrant receives a free admission pass for the Show and gundog parking/caravan area.
Friday 2nd September
9.30 am INDIVIDUAL OPEN GUNDOG WORKING TEST. Held in accordance with Kennel Club regulations J(C) (GWT). JUDGES: Mr G Hay (B) & Mr D Field (B)
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th September
9.30 am INTER TEAM INVITATION GUNDOG WORKING TEST. The Chatsworth Country Fair Challenge Trophy to the winning Team: The Staindrop Challenge Trophy to the best individual in the team tests, decided by Sunday lunchtime.
JUDGES: Mr J Lees (A) and Mr D Probert (B)
The top five teams in last year’s competition and a further eight from a list of twenty
five will be competing. The commentary team will announce the order of running.

12.30 pm JUNIOR HANDLERS DEMONSTRATION. John Jones and Roger Wiggins with their team of young handlers give a polished demonstration of Gundog work.
1.45 pm TEAM GUNDOG WORKING TEST RESUMES
Sunday 4th September
9.30 am INTER TEAM INVITATION GUNDOG WORKING TEST
The proceeds from the Team Test are donated each year to a Charity. In 2010 the DLRAA received the sum of £665.00.
